Happy November, Burke Station families! We hope you're all enjoying the amazing weather and settling into your fall routines in preparation for the Holidays!

Speaking of the Holidays, we’re gearing up for our annual Pancakes and Pajamas event, which will be taking place at BSSC on Sunday, December 6 from 9-11 am. This is a fun way for the BKS families to get together again in the offseason and enjoy some quality time and a delicious breakfast with one another! This event is open for all, so please invite your friends and neighbors to join us!

On another note, the Team Reps met recently to start planning for the 2026 season. One of the items we discussed was creating "committees" that will assist us with some of our efforts both during the season and in the offseason (or maybe a little of both).

List of committees:

Sponsorships - Gather sponsors for the summer season

• Reach out to past sponsors
• Reach out to possible new sponsors
• Collect logos
• Coordinate any items for end-of-season bags
• Can be done via email exclusively

Team Breakfasts - coordinate the Friday morning breakfasts during the summer season

• Create a sign-up for weekly breakfasts
• Find volunteers to man the breakfast tables
• Purchase needed items
• Organize final practice pancake breakfast
• May require attendance at some Friday practices

Social Media - heighten our team’s social media presence

• Spearhead our Instagram debut
• Revamp our Facebook presence
• Run the social media channels throughout the year; heavy use May-August
• Will require attendance at team events and meets

Offseason Events - organize winter (Pancakes & Pajamas) and spring (TBD) events

• Find volunteers
• Coordinate setup and tear-down
• Purchase items
• Will need to be on site for the events (weekends only)

If you are interested in leading any of these efforts, please let us know. All positions will be under the guidance of the Team Reps. We’ll provide plenty of information regarding the work to be done - nothing will need to be created from scratch.
