Happy Fourth of July Eve, Burke Station! We are entering the home stretch but it gets pretty busy.

As always, we have a lot going on, so here’s the latest wrap-up and look ahead!

Friday Breakfast & Tie-Dye

As noted earlier this week, since the weather forced us to cancel last week's Tie-Dye pep rally, we are moving it to July 4th after morning practice. The practice is 8:30-9:30 am and will be a fun one. It will be a combined practice of the entire team focused on team building and fun relays (please note that the Transition Group will practice at the regular time of 7:45-8:30, but they can certainly stick around!).

Breakfast and tie-dyeing will all take place outside the pool fences to the side of the building. We will ask that everyone clear off the pool decks so it can be prepared for opening at 11:00 for the BSSC 50th Anniversary Celebration.

Please bring an item to tie-dye. We’ll provide the dye and bags/rubber bands. Destroyers, Transition Group, and Juniors are all welcome to attend!

In addition to tie-dye, we will have our weekly breakfast, but this time as a whole team. BKS will provide bagels, but we are asking for help with spreads, drinks, and a sweeter treat. Sign up here to provide items: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C054EA5AC28A1F8CE9-57415444-july#/

Please do not park in the spots on the side of the building as we’ll be using this area for the tie-dye and breakfast.

Sparklers/Chalk & Pool Set-Up @ 6:00 pm

Setup on Friday night at 6:00 pm is all hands on deck. All children need to remain outside the Swim Club gates as the Swim Club will be closed.

While setup is going on inside the gates, outside on the side of the building will be our Pep Rally featuring sparklers, pop-its, and chalking the walk. The swimmers will welcome our guests from Riverside Gardens with messages in chalk along the sidewalks. The Pep Rally will wrap up by 7:00 pm.

Saturday Home Meet v. Riverside Gardens

Saturday is our Senior Day, during which we will be celebrating Becca, Jack, and Renzo in a short ceremony between Butterfly and the relays. We will also have cake available on the upper deck at the conclusion of the meet.

This also just happens to be our Red, White, and Blue meet, so come decked out in your most patriotic gear to celebrate the Fourth of July! We’ll be sending out the meet sheet and any follow-up info later this week.

We are in need of three volunteers on Saturday - one Marshal and two Timers. If you are available, please sign up. We need to have these positions to run a meet! We prefer not to, but we will have to assign people to these roles if they are not filled.

Post-Meet Tear down crew will be the 9-10s.

Here’s the upcoming schedule as we head into the final leg of the dual meet season!

• July 7: B Meet (Home) with Camelot
• July 10: IM Carnival at Burke Station
• July 11: Pizza Party and Car Decorating at BSSC
• July 12: A Meet (Away) at Fox Mill Woods
• July 17: Lollipop Meet and Community Relays
• July 19: Divisionals and End-of-Season Celebration at Burke Station!

For IM Carnival, please declare your swimmers now. Swimmers have one final opportunity to be eligible for the meet by swimming IM this coming Monday night. All swimmers must have a legal IM time for this season (25 Fly time for 8&unders) to participate in the meet.
