Brookfield A Meet Debrief, Holmes Run B Meet Details, and a Busy Week Ahead

Happy Sunday, BKS. Hope you were able to enjoy a pretty Saturday afternoon and are ready for a great remainder of the weekend!

That meet yesterday at Brookfield was something else! As the coaches said in their email yesterday, these kids represented BKS with spirit, sportsmanship, and determination…and while the final score wasn’t on our side (221-195), we all came away incredibly proud of how well our swimmers did in all facets of the meet!

For those who may not be aware, we had LOTS of swim-ups (just one example being the 9-10 Girls relay consisting of three 7-year-olds and one 9-year-old!). Congratulations to Taylor Kasman (8&U Girls…who also swam up in 9-10s) and Scarlett Grace Fullen (9-10 Girls) for their A Meet debuts and for putting forth amazing effort to help the team. The number of swim-ups is too many to mention, but we want to make sure the kids know how well they did both in the pool and out of it

Another mention for Joey Hanik, who went 18.51 in the Boys 8&U Butterfly, which bested the record he set earlier in the season! Congrats again to Joey!

Meet results are attached to this email.

We’re in the heart of the season and things are getting *really* busy, so please read through the below and email us or find us on the deck if you have any questions.

Friday, July 4 - Combined Team Practice, Friday Breakfast, Tie Dyeing, and Chalks and Sparklers Pep Rally @ BSSC

This Friday is a big one...and it's the Fourth of July holiday! The coaches felt that making this a fun, team-building practice would be a great way to end the week for the kids and we’re also making the most of the holiday to bring families together for a fun morning!

  • Transition Group will practice at the normal time: 7:45-8:30
