Hi Burke Station Families!

Sorry for the quick turnaround on this one, but, as always, we’re speeding through the season faster than a relay anchor!

Even though the Lollipop Meet is still a few weeks away, we’re already getting ready behind the scenes for one of our favorite parts: the 8 & Under swimmer t-shirts! And that means…it’s time for our Lollipop Meet Art Contest!

We’re inviting all swimmers 12 and under to submit their designs for this year’s shirt. Whether your swimmer loves to doodle, sketch, or create digital masterpieces, we’d love them to submit their designs!

Here are the details:

• Deadline to submit: June 29
• Design size: No larger than 8x10 inches
• Format: You can scan and email us the artwork or drop off a physical copy with one of the Team Reps
• Digital designs welcome! (Just no copyrighted images, please)
• Black & white only (If using pencil, please trace over it in black marker for clarity)
• Must include the words:BKS Lollipop Meet

We can’t wait to see the creativity our swimmers bring to life. Let’s make this year’s Lollipop Meet shirt the best one yet!

For our new families, the Lollipop Meet is for our 8&unders including transition and juniors.  The kids will swim a full lap either on their own, with an instructor in the water or with a kickboard.  They get the full meet treatment.  The older kids (9&up) fill all the normal meet positions as well.  The event is followed by Community Relays and the Belly Flop Contest.  Much more information to come.
