Happy Early Spring, Burke Station Families!

Can you believe it's already that time? All that snow melted only a month ago and here we are, dreaming about travelling tacos, The Wobble, and late Monday nights at the pool with our best summer friends!

We are thrilled to welcome back Kelly Hanik as our Head Coach! Joining her as the Assistant Coaches will be Andrew O'Kane and Charlie St. Louis. Our coaching staff is rounded out with Adrian Curameng and Eric Rojas as our Assistant Junior/Transition Coaches.

Registration for summer 2025 is now open! As a thank you and a way to celebrate our fantastic swim community's 50th anniversary, each swimmer registered will receive a FREE swim team t-shirt!!! Please follow the instructions in the registration to place a shirt order for each swimmer!

All BKS swimmers must be members of Burke Station Swim Club. Memberships are available starting March 15.

For those who haven't heard, NVSL has placed us in Division 13 for 2025! This is BKS's highest seeding since 2010, when we were in Division 12, and it's a real testament to the hard work all of our kids have put in over the past few years! The other teams in Division 13 are Rolling Forest, Holmes Run, Riverside Gardens, Brookfield, and Fox Mill Woods, so get ready for a fun and competitive summer of swimming!

Our full schedule is now on the website, but some quick highlights are:

• May 17 – BKS Parents Meeting at Burke Station Swim Club
• May 27 – First practice (afternoon)
• June 7 – Time trials (at Burke Station)
• June 9 – First B Meet (at Parliament)
• June 12 – First morning practice
• June 15 – First A Meet (at Rolling Forest)
• July 19 – Divisionals (at Burke Station) and End-of-Season Party

One more major item of note (that you will have noticed above) is that NVSL has seen fit to have us host Divisionals for the third straight year. It's a big job, but we suppose someone has to do it!

The Parents Meeting will be at 6:30 on May 17. As usual, the Swim Club Prep Day will occur earlier that day.

The Officials Training schedule has been released by NVSL. Please consult the schedule on our website and plan accordingly. Without officials (Stroke & Turn, Referee, Starter), we cannot run a meet. All clinics are only 2 hours long.
