Happy Fourth of July week, Burke Station families!

Well…we couldn’t have asked for a much stronger meet than we had yesterday! Our depth really shone through as we put in some monster swims and ended up 273.5-145.5 winners against Sully Station II. We won points across all age groups and events and put the finishing touches on the meet by going 9-3 in the relays. We also had yet another 8&U who swam their first A Meet tis weekend, with Holly Gorski finishing 4^th in 8&U Girls Backstroke!

Our win yesterday, combined with Fox Mill Estates’ win against Annadale sets up a clash of 3-0 teams for our meet at home this coming Saturday!

B Meet Monday, July 1, at Home v. Holmes Run

We are swimming at home tomorrow with Holmes Run at 6:00 pm. Looks like the weather is going to be glorious!

Tomorrow night's theme is Hollywood Stars. Take a walk down the red carpet at BSSC and look, feel, and swim like an A Lister as we celebrate the glitz and glamor of Hollywood!

Our warmups will begin at 5:00. Please arrive by 4:45 so that your swimmers are ready to go.

Event Sign-up: Please declare swimmers by Monday, June 24 at 8:00 am. Swimmers can sign up for 2 events AND the IM. As a reminder, swimmers cannot swim in an event in which they placed first, second, or third in at the A Meet yesterday (see attached meet results if you are unsure of your places). Instructions on How to Sign Up.

Weather Details: Though the weather is looking ideal, you never know what’ll happen so, as always, we will communicate weather delays via the SwimTopia app.

Volunteers: All slots are filled, but if you have signed up and can't make it, please send us an email so we can find someone to backfill!

Meet Set Up and Break Down: 11-12 Families are responsible for set-up at 4:30 pm. Break-Down after the meet (around 9:00 pm) is for 13-14 Families.

A Meet Declaration Reminder

Please declare your swimmers’ availability for next Saturday’s A Meet red, white, and blue Senior Meet!) at home against Fox Mill Estates by Wednesday morning at 8:00 am. The coaches will be meeting after practice on Wednesday and they need declarations so they can set the lineup then.

Fourth of July Practice

We will be holding an optional fun practice for all age groups from 9:00-10:00 am on the Fourth of July. Think of it as a gameday-type practice for everyone before set up for the pool’s July 4 open house event that afternoon.

Speaking of practice, thank you to everyone who has reached out to the coaches to let them know that their swimmers won’t be able to make certain practices. If you need temporary accommodations for practice (i.e., a different time slot), feel free to reach out to the coaches and team reps and they’ll let you know if there will be enough available lanes in the time slot you’d like to move them to.
