Happy Sunday, everyone. Hope you’re all keeping cool!

We had another phenomenal meet yesterday at Hollin Hills. We “swam out” 264-155 winners after lots of strong individual swims and a near-sweep of the relays! Special shout out to Harper Tremper, who swam in her first-ever A Meet (8&U Breaststroke) and did wonderfully!

A huge congratulations to Franklin Brenholt, Taran Heron, Lawrence Penwell, and William Penwell) who set the Burke Station Boys 11-12 100M Medley Relay record with a time of 1:05.43! This beat the previous record, which was set back in 1997, by almost two seconds. Congrats, boys!

Yesterday’s results mean that Burke Station, Sully Station II, and Fox Mill Estates are all currently 2-0 in the division. Our next two A meets are against those two other teams, so it should be a wild ride!

B Meet Monday, June 24, at Home v. Woodley

We are swimming at home tomorrow with Woodley at 6:00 pm. It looks like the heat will break a bit, so hopefully it’ll be a pleasant evening!

Tomorrow Night's Theme is Luau. Break out your Grass Skirts and Leis and beat the heat in your best tropical attire!

Our warmups will begin at 5:00. Please arrive by 4:45 so that your swimmers are ready to go.

Event Sign-up: Please declare swimmers by Monday, June 24 at 8:00 am. Swimmers can sign up for 2 events AND the IM. As a reminder, swimmers cannot swim in an event in which they placed first, second, or third in at the A Meet yesterday (see attached meet results if you are unsure of your places). Instructions on How to Sign-Up.

Weather Details: The weather should be cooperative; however, in case of a surprise storm, we will communicate weather delays via the SwimTopia app.

Volunteers: We are still in need of Volunteers. Please check the slots available.

Meet Set Up and Break Down: 9-10 Families are responsible for set-up at 4:30 pm. Break-Down after the meet (around 9:00 pm) is for 11-12 Families.

Special Request: Does anyone have a small, portable spotlight that we can use at the back left side of the pool (near the timers)? It got pretty dark there by the time the last B Meet ended, so we’re hoping to brighten it up a bit back there tomorrow.

A Meet Declaration Reminder

Please be sure to declare your swimmers’ availability for next Saturday’s A Meet at home against Sully Station II by Wednesday morning at 8:00 am. As always, the coaches will be meeting after practice on Wednesday and they need declarations so they can set the lineup then.

Pop-Up Spirit Wear Wear Ends Tonight at 9:00 pm

Be sure to purchase any Spirit Wear needs by 9:00 pm tonight, as we will be submitting the order tomorrow morning. Orders are made through the website.
