Alright, Burke Station families...our first "meet" of the season is just about here. Time Trials is tomorrow!

For those who aren't familiar with Time Trials, this is a meet-style event that allows the kids to swim all the strokes and for the coaches to get times to begin seeding our meets (which begin on Monday!). This also gives our new swimmers a taste of what it's like to swim in a meet without it being a meet (if you get the drift). With that said, there are a few things we wanted to mention so we're fully ready for tomorrow:

• Warmup time is 7:30 am. We will begin Time Trials with freestyle at 8:00, but we want to be sure that the kids have plenty of time to warm up, so please have them here and ready at 7:30.
• It looks like it'll be a little chilly first thing in the morning, so be sure to bring an extra towel or two, a sweatshirt, some longer pants, and anything else to stay nice and warm, especially if your swimmers tend to get chilly.
• As with any meet, we require all the parents to remain off the deck (i.e., stay outside the fence around the pool) during Time Trials. Feel free to cheer on your/our swimmers from anywhere else around the pool!
• We still have a number of swimmers who aren't declared (entered) as attending tomorrow. Please check SwimTopia and if your swimmer is not yet declared, declare them as attending or not attending. Swimmers will swim all strokes that the coaches feel they are ready to swim, so there is no need to choose events for them. If you are having any trouble declaring, let us know and we can help you out!
• There will not be concessions tomorrow, so be sure to bring snacks and drinks for your kids if you think they'll need them!
• We still need a few timers, so if you're interested in helping out, please sign up on SwimTopia. If we don't get enough volunteers, we may need to grab some voluntolds, so don't go MIA when the event begins!
