Hello again, BKS families!

Thank you to those who have already registered for the summer 2024 season - we're excited to see so many returning families already registered along with quite a few new ones! We’ve got a good deal of information below, so please keep reading…

We wanted to remind everyone that the early registration deadline is this Saturday, March 23. Be sure to register by then (if you haven’t already!) to get free limited edition swim caps for your swimmers.

Once again, we will be offering a two-week “trial period” during the first two weeks of practice. If you know of anyone on the fence about joining the team, please let them know that there’s no obligation to join if they would like to come out for those first couple weeks to test the waters (no pun intended). We understand that the decision to join a summer swim team for the first time can be a big one for a lot of kids and families, so we want to provide them with the opportunity to see what it’s all about before they commit!

As you all know, we rely heavily on the generosity of our sponsors to meet our funding needs for each year, so we're always looking to expand our sponsor pool. With that in mind, this year we're offering a $50 discount on registration for each new sponsorship that a family brings in! Please feel free to direct any new potential sponsors to our sponsors page on the website or directly to our sponsor form, and definitely let us know if we can credit you with any new sponsors you might have attracted!

We will be ordering suits from Metro Swim Shop in Fairfax. We are working with Metro on a specific suit try-on night for our team, but please feel free to try on suits at Metro at any time. Their hours can fluctuate, so before going to the store we suggest visiting the Metro Facebook page to get their most recent store hours.

We’ll also be ordering custom swim caps in the next few weeks, so we’ll follow up with information for everyone interested in placing an order.

Finally, we have created a Junior Destroyers coaches Google form to gauge interest among our swimmers in being coaches for our youngest team members! Please have a look and have your teen swimmer(s) sign up if they’re interested.
