Hello, BKS Families!

With the NVSL seeding meeting behind us, we’re excited to announce that registration for the 2024 summer swim season is now open! Please visit our website to register. All swimmers registered between now and March 23 will receive a free special edition Burke Station swim cap!

Most of you have heard already, but we are also excited to announce that we’ve been placed in Division 15 once again this season. The teams that we will be competing against are Annadale, Fox Mill Estates, Hollin Hills, Lake Braddock, and Sully Station II.

In addition to our A Meet division, we’re also back with our regular B Meet league for the summer. We’re excited to be sharing the pool with each of these teams this season!.

Our complete schedule is now on the website, but some quick highlights are:

• May 18 – BKS Parents Meeting
• May 28 – First practice (afternoon)
• June 8 – Time trials (at Burke Station)
• June 10 – First B Meet (home v. Parliament)
• June 13 – First morning practice
• June 15 – First A Meet (away at Annandale)
• July 20 – Divisionals (HOME!) and End-of-Season Party

The coaches have provided a list of recommended gear that will help them plan and execute practices. These items are not mandatory but highly encouraged. Have a look at the list on our website. We also have a SwimOutlet.com store where all items are listed plus a few more helpful items.

Speaking of gear, we’ve decided on our new suits for the year! We will be working with Metro Swim Shop on Lee Highway again this year. We are working with them to secure a Try On event in the coming weeks.

We need volunteers as officials. If you are interested in being a stroke & turn judge, starter, and/or referee please visit our website for more information. The training schedule is available online now.
