Hi All- 

We cannot believe that we are already at the end of the season! These past 6-weeks have been fast and furious and hopefully a lot of fun! While our dual meets are over, we still have a lot of exciting things planned for this week! Please review the details below and let us know if you have any questions! 

Divisionals 

Divisionals will take place Saturday morning at Burke Station - the theme is Welcome to the Jungle, so get your best jungle costume ready! At practice tomorrow, the Coaches and Team Reps will finalize the entries for the Tuesday night seeding meeting (Team Reps attend). While our top two swimmers in each stroke are guaranteed a spot, we will be submitting alternates in case other teams cannot fill their slots and will let all swimmers know on Wednesday morning what events they are in! Given that we will not know until Wednesday morning who is in Divisionals, we encourage all swimmers to continue attending practice. 

We will also be reaching out to many of you to assist as volunteers at Divisionals. We will need several shifts of workers so we will have many positions to fill. If you are available to help, we really appreciate it. We cannot put on a meet without you! 

Lollipop Meet & Community Relays- Wednesday, July 19th @6pm 

Wednesday night we will host our Lollipop meet for 8&Unders, Transition Group, and Junior Destroyers followed by Community Relays (parents, dust off those goggles) and a Belly Flop Contest. 

The lollipop meet will consist of the following events: 

25m Freestyle 

25m Kickboard 

Rubber Ducky Dash 

Inner Tube Relay 

Our older swimmers will serve as announcers, starters, timers, prize distributors, and assistants! Once the Lollipop Meet concludes, we will open the Community Relays for parents and older swimmers. We will also have an inner tube relay for community entry. We will be posting a sign-up form on the bulletin board outside the girls restroom later this week, so keep an eye out! 

Friday Pancake Breakfast after Practice 

To close out the season, we will be having a pancake breakfast on Friday after each practice! 

End of the Season Party 

Finally, we will conclude the season with our End of the Season Party on Saturday night at the pool! You will not want to miss out on the paper plate awards and slide show! We are extremely grateful to Virginia Orthodontic Partners for donating the main dishes for this party! We are asking families with the last names between A-H to bring a dessert and last names between I-Z to bring a side dish. We will have lemonade and water- everyone is encouraged to bring a beverage of their choice!
