A-Meet Debrief, B-Meet @ Holmes Run Info + BOWLING

Hi All-

Wow! That was a close meet with our neighbors from Lake Braddock. It's always fun (and a little nerve wracking) when it comes down to the relays! We also had a great time celebrating our lone senior Lucas Gomez! It's hard to believe that we are over half-way through the season!

BOWLING

The Pep Rally on Friday, July 7th will be BOWLING at Bowl America Burke (5-6pm). This year they are offering group packages that we think will help make the bowling event run much smoother- $20/bowler which includes 90 minutes of bowling, shoe rental, access to the pizza bar, unlimited drinks, AND $5 credit for future bowling at Bowl America. Please RSVP for the event HERE. Registration deadline is Wednesday, July 5th at 11am.

B Meet MONDAY, July 3rd, @ HOLMES RUN

This Monday we are AWAY at HOLMES RUN. Everyone should come dressed in their best BLUE AND GOLD to show our team spirit!

Event Signup: Signup for the two strokes + IM is now available in Swimtopia. Please complete your event signup by Monday, July 3rd at 11AM so that data can print cards for that evening. Just a reminder, you cannot swim in an event you placed first, second, or third in at the A-Meet yesterday (see attached meet results if you are unsure of your places).

If you are interested in participating in the IM Carnival on July 13th, you MUST have a valid IM time from this season. You only have two more chances to get a time before IM Carnival!

Transition Group Swimmers: If you swam in the last B-Meet, you can sign up for those races again this meet. If you have not swam in a B-Meet, you can sign up for 25 Freestyle!

Where: Holmes Run - 3451 Gallows Rd. Falls Church, VA 22042. Our team area is on the right hand side of the LOWER POOL deck. They will have lounge chairs for us to use but please bring sunscreen, bug spray, etc. **Swimmers and families should use the restrooms ON THE LOWER deck. HRA has two pools and reserves the upper pool for their members. No swimmers or families should be on the upper pool deck during the meet.

When: Please arrive at 5PM dressed and ready for warmups at 5:20PM.

Concessions: Concessions will be serving dinner- hot dogs, hamburgers- snacks and drinks. Cash and cards accepted!

Weather Details: Weather is looking iffy. Hopefully it will do the same thing as last week and just disappear! Regardless, we will communicate weather delays via Remind.

Volunteers: Please check in with Alexis Bridley when you arrive. Just a reminder, all deck volunteers should be in white tops and blue bottoms as this is the NVSL dress code. **We still need a Marshall and TWO timers for tomorrow. Please consider signing up for these volunteer positions even if you've already met your volunteer hours.

Parking: There will be minimal parking in the parking lot. If the lot is full, parking is available on neighborhood streets including Executive Avenue and Hemlock Ave. From Hemlock, you may walk behind Woodburn Elementary, pass the playground, tennis courts and field and take the path through the woods to the pool property.
