Hey All-

Only a few days left until our first A meet of the season! Just a reminder- Coaches determine the line-up for the A meet on Saturday. Unlike B Meets, we can only swim three swimmers in each event. Coaches will notify swimmers at practice tomorrow if they are chosen for the A meet and the races they will swim. Please take note if your swimmer is in a relay- they are at the end of the meet! If you are not swimming in the A Meet, you are welcome to come cheer on the team Saturday morning!

Meet Details 

Where: Annandale Swim and Tennis Club: 7530 Little River Turnpike, Annandale, VA 22003

When: Arrival Time is 8am- warmups will begin promptly at 8:20am. The team area is on the left side of the pool in a grassy area. Please bring chairs as all deck chairs will be used for the meet. Come dressed in your suit- bring cap (BSST or plain cap), goggles, towel, water bottle, sunscreen and bug spray!  

Concessions: Concessions will open at 8:15am and will be offering grilled foods, prepackaged hot and cold foods, as well as snacks and drinks. 

Weather Details: Weather should be good- if there are any issues, we will communicate weather delays via Remind. 

Volunteers: We will have a volunteer check-in when you arrive. Mary Lee Watts will be checking in volunteers- you can find a Team Rep and we will point you in the right direction :). Just a reminder, all volunteers should be in white tops and blue bottoms as this is the NVSL dress code. 

If you are scheduled to swim and cannot attend for any reason, please text Matt (703-403-7050) or Alexis (843-422-9560) so that we can scratch your swimmer. 

PASTA PALOOZA

We had originally scheduled bowling as our first pep rally, however, due to school schedules, we would have had to bowl during our last practice before the A meet. So, we decided to have a team event/fundraiser with the Post Practice Pasta Palooza! This event is open to the community, so please spread the word! We will have buttered noodles, noodles with sauce, meatballs, garlic bread, and Caesar salad! Please remember to bring cash as we cannot take swim club credit or credit cards. We hope to see everyone there to celebrate the beginning of Summer Swim 2023!
