Shirt/Hoodie Order and Meet/Volunteer Sign-Up

Hi All-

We finally have an order form for the long awaited Shirt/Hoodie Order. We have an almost identical (feels identical) shirt from last year with a new front. The back will still have swimmers names and sponsors! We also added NEW hoodies- these hoodies are the sweatshirt version of the shirt! They are SUPER soft and stretchy. We also included hats- but will need a minimum order of 12 hats to order them (which I think we should get!). Please submit orders by the end of the day Friday, June 9th. We expect a two-week turn around and hope to have them before our first home A meet on June 24th. Payment can be made via cash or check when items are available for pickup. Shirt/Hoodie/Hat

Volunteer Sign-Up

Volunteer Sign-Up will be opening tomorrow, Saturday, June 3rd at 9am. Volunteer slots for all meets- with the exception of Relay Carnival and Divisionals- will open tomorrow morning. Please remember that families are required to volunteer at a minimum of 8 meets (Transition group has 4 volunteer requirements)...but we won't stop you if you want to volunteer for more :).

Volunteer positions for Relay Carnival and DIvisionals are divided among all 6 teams in Division 15. We will post volunteer positions for those at a later date. Please note, if your swimmer is chosen to participate in Relay Carnival and/or Divisionals, you are expected to volunteer as needed.

How Do I Sign-Up for Volunteer Slots?

  • On the Burke Station Swimtopia website:
    • You will see a list of Upcoming Events on the right-hand side
    • Select the Job Signup button under the meet you want to sign-up for
  • Via the Swimtopia app:
    • Choose "Visit Website" at the top of the screen
    • Scroll to the bottom of the page, where you'll see "Upcoming Events"
    • Select the Job Signup button under the meet you want to sign-up for

The process is the same on both platforms from this point:

  • Select the individual who will be volunteering.
  • Select the volunteer position. Please note that some volunteer positions require certification (you can click on the "i" information button for details). If you are a new family, volunteering as a timer, concessions worker, or marshall are great ways to familiarize yourself with meets!

How Do I Sign Up My Swimmer for Meets?

There is a Meet Entry button listed under each meet for the season. Sign-ups for all A Meets are open and you can declare them when you know your availability. SIgn-ups for B Meets will open each week after the Saturday morning A Meet. Please see below how to sign-up for each meet as they are a bit different.

A Meets

  • Select "Meet Entry" under the meet.
  • Scroll down and "Edit" your swimmer's declaration. Please indicate if your swimmer is Attending or Not Attending the meet.
  • Declaration for A Meets MUST be declared by 9am on Wednesday before the meet.
  • Your declaration indicates whether or not you want your swimmer to be considered for that meet. The coaches will meet Wednesday night and create the meet line up. Your swimmer will be notified at practice on Thursday if they are swimming and what events they are swimming. We will be posting meet entries on the bulletin board outside the bathroom so that parents can double-check their swimmers' events.
B Meets
  • Select "Meet Entry" under the meet.
  • Scroll down and "Edit" your swimmer's declaration.
  • For B Meets, swimmers can choose their events so once you indicate that your swimmer is attending the meet, you will be prompted to choose their events.
  • Reminder: You can choose TWO events and a BONUS IM event (if your swimmer is legal in all 4 strokes). Your swimmer cannot swim an event if they placed 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in that event at the most recent A Meet.
    • NOTE: Since our first meet is a B Meet, swimmers can choose ANY two events they want to swim!
  • B Meet registration will open after the A Meet on the prior Saturday and will close at the end of practice on Monday morning. This registration is a quick turn around- coaches and team reps will follow up with non-declared swimmers, so don't worry if you miss registering for one of those first meets as you get the hang of summer swim tempo!
  • TRANSITION GROUP: We will notify families when swimmers are able to participate in B Meets.
If you haven't already, please submit your Meet Entry for Time trials.
If you have any questions with the Meet Declaration/Volunteer SIgn Up, come find Matt or Alexis at practice! It seems a bit daunting at first, but you will quickly get the hang of it!
