A-Meet Debrief & Lollipop Meet
Hello!
We cannot believe that the regular season is over! It is true when they say that summer swim season is fast and furious! We hope everyone gets a much deserved break today and tomorrow before we start Divisional Prep on Monday!
Things to remember for this week:
TODAY
Please confirm availability for Divisionals ASAP. This is important as we are submitting the final line up on Tuesday- it cannot be changed after this date. We want as many swimmers to swim as possible, so please indicate your availability.
Monday, 7/18
Fairfax Foxes Swim Team will be running a clinic for our swimmers at each practice. This is another great opportunity to experience a winter swim program! We encourage everyone to attend even if they do not plan on swimming through the winter. We will also be confirming Divisional entries.
Junior Destroyers will head over to Commonwealth for their Mini Meet @ 6PM! We've had several families already sign-up. If you are interested in participating in this fun, quick event, please register here.
Wednesday, 7/20
The team reps will head over to Broyhill Crest to review the layout for Divisionals. We will also determine the meet sheet and volunteers for Divisionals. We know there are several families waiting to hear if their swimmer is selected as an alternate- we will notify these families either Wednesday evening or Thursday morning depending on how late the meeting goes Wednesday night.
Thursday, 7/21
LOLLIPOP Meet & Community Relays @ 6:30pm. The Lollipop Meet is for our 8&U and Junior Destroyers- we will have a gem find in the shallow end, a kickboard race, and a 25 Freestyle race option. Please confirm your participation HERE by the end of the day Monday, July 18th.
Swimmers ages 9 and older will be needed as timers, prize distributors, announcers, etc. so come ready to help!! The Lollipop Meet will be followed by a fun Community Event of Parent/Kid relays and a belly-flop contest! Stay tuned as we iron out additional details!
