Upcoming Event Reminders
Hi All-
First, a big congratulations to Burke Station for winning IM Carnival last night! Way to add another trophy to our collection!
We cannot believe the last meet of the regular season is two short days away! Just a reminder, this meet we will honor our two seniors- Maya Bentley and Ava Sellers. Even if you are not swimming in the meet, please come down and celebrate these two amazing young ladies!
A few reminders as the next few days/week are really busy:
Pancake Breakfast
We always do a pancake breakfast for swimmers on the last Friday of regular scheduled practices. We will need help making pancakes during practice for the team. We will supply all the ingredients- if you are available during your swimmers practice, please come down and help prepare food/clean up. We would really appreciate it.
Ice Cream Social
Tomorrow evening we will also host our favorite pep rally- Ice Cream Social. Come out and support our team by buying ice cream- $1/scoop with toppings and then help make our coaches into HUMAN SUNDAES! You do not want to miss this exciting event!
Divisional Prep
Starting Monday, we will be reaching out to families to ask swimmers what they want to swim at divisionals. It is REALLY important that you go into swimtopia now and declare if your swimmer is able to swim at divisionals or not. We can send our two fastest swimmers in each event- plus a list of alternates. Swimmers can only swim two events. Oftentimes, alternate swimmers will get into events so it is important that we know everyone's availability ASAP. The team reps meet Tuesday night to place swimmers in events. Therefore, families should know on Wednesday if your swimmer is swimming in Divisionals.
Divisonals/End of the Year Party
Divisionals will be held Saturday, July 23rd at Broyhill crest. We will send out more detailed information as we receive it! You don't want to miss the end of the year party where swimmers will receive their awards! Coaches make Paper Plate awards for each swimmer and it is truly one of the best parts of summer swim team! We will do another pot-luck style event so keep an eye out for the sign-up genius early next week!
