Hello Destroyers-
What a fun and exciting meet this morning! There were some really great races and some INSANE time drops! We are also proud of the sportsmanship all swimmers continue to display throughout the meets!
Congratulations to Taran Heron who broke his own record in 9-10 50 Freestyle with the time of 33.60!
A special thank you to all of our volunteers. It was HOT on the pool deck this morning and our concessions crew were working up a storm in the kitchen. We truly appreciate everyone pitching in to make these meets successful! Without you as volunteers, we would not be able to host meets!
B-Meet Monday June 27th, HOME vs. Woodley
This Monday we have another HOME "B" Meet against Woodley. Our theme for the meet is "Costumes" so wear your favorite Halloween costume! The weather is not looking great so please be sure that you have the Swimtopa App installed, as that will be our primary means of communication. Let's hope the weather cooperates and we can finish all of the races!
Meet setup will start at the 4:45pm break again. We appreciate any help as we quickly set up the pool and concessions to prepare for Woodley. All swimmers and volunteers should report to the pool deck no later than 5:00PM. We will have a volunteer sign-in sheet at the entrance of the pool house again.
We will have a "Mini Deep End Dash" for our Junior swimmers at 6:00PM just before the start of the meet.
Event Signup:
Signup for the two strokes + IM is now available in Swimtopia. Please complete your event signup by Monday, June 27th at 11AM so that data can print cards for that evening. Just a reminder, you cannot swim in an event you placed first, second, or third in at the A-Meet today (see attached meet results if you are unsure of your places).
Laser Tag & Glow Golf
Our favorite pep rally of the season is right around the corner! We will go to
Shadowland in Alexandria on
July 8th at 5:00 PM. They are requiring reservation details by
Friday, July 1st. You have the option of playing 2 rounds of laser tag ($13.50) or Glow Golf + $5 arcade card ($9). You can also add on 2 slices of pizza and unlimited drinks for $5/person. Please RSVP
here so that we can provide Shadowland with accurate numbers- siblings are welcome to attend. You can pay via cash, check, or Venmo (@Alexis-Bridley; last 4 digits 9560) to Alexis at practice this week.
